Training is the Word

It seems that we are really involved in intensive training for a two month course. We got into this course a week late so we are having to catch up, but hopefully we will be able to do so without much problem. We are being trained as indexers, arbitrators and administrators, with a view to providing support to those who need help. There is so much to learn about the computer, the methods of indexing and abitrating and lots about the administrative jobs we will also be involved in. It is good, but sometimes it's hard to take it all in. However the Lord will help us do it.

Today is Saturday and after we did some P-day cleaning, etc. we took a drive out to the stores for a few more items and then we drove into downtown Frankfurt. It is a large city with many very tall buildings. Sometime we will take our camera down there and take some pictures. The city is built next to the Main River (pronounced "Mine") and downtown it is called "Frankfurt on Main". It is a beautiful city with lots of shops, stores, library, ballet, theaters, opera house, youth hostel, train station, bus station, and all kinds of other things in a large city. Today there were people everywhere, riding their bicycles, walking, driving cars or riding the street cars all over the place. The streets are very narrow compared to all the traffic that is going everywhere and the people drive quite fast and expect us to do the same. We wanted to look at lots of things, but if we didn't go quickly they honk at us. So this trip we just drove around. We hope to take time soon to ride the train in to downtown Frankfurt and walk all around there to see several things. That way we will not have to find parking places or hurry away because there are other cars wanting to go fast. We will take our camera and take several pictures. It will have to be a whole day, but it will be fun.

There is a party going on tonight a couple of houses down. We can hear and feel ourselves bouncing with the beat of the music. It sounds like a large party, but we can only see lights and a canopy cover from our windows. They didn't invite us and we don't plan on crashing the party. We only hope it doesn't last all night or we will be bounced into Sunday.

Sounds like they are really keeping you busy out there. I guess that's the way it has to go so that times flies because you're so busy. We love and miss you.
