Last days before we enter the MTC

We arrived in American Fork, and have spent a couple of days with Susan, Jacob et.al. We have had a continuous train of people comming in to visit for the last time for a couple of years. Saturday evening we had Jessica Whitford from California and Sherlyn and Taylor Howlett from Texas in for dinner with us. Grant was able to do a little to help with household projects for Susan's family. We didn't get a lot of study time, but we made the final preparations to be ready to enter the MTC on Monday.

Sunday we went to Church in Susan and Nels' ward, and Grant's sister Mary with her husband James Marble went with us. After church we had a nice discussion with Mary and James and any who wanted to listen in which we described some of the experiences we had during our mission to Kiribati through which we learned that the Lord is able to manipulate circumstances so that those who are called to His service are able to succeed in marvelous ways. It is with that faith that we are going forth to serve in Germany. Later, my brother Glen with his wife Carol and their daughter Gerilyn with her twins, and Sister Elaine with her husband George joined us for dinner and a last chance to say good-bye. It has been a good day. Now we must make all final preparations so we can get to the Mission Training Center (MTC) before 0700 tomorrow morning. We expect that the next twenty-four hours could provide us with a lot more information about what to expect during the next month, and how we are to prepare here in America before we leave for our assigned area.

Our excitement level is getting awfully high! GHS&PLMH
